Elisabeth Moskric is a counsel in the firm’s Corporate Finance & Capital Markets group. Her preferred areas of practice include banking, finance, corporate and commercial law. Another focus of Elisabeth Moskric is real estate law, where she regularly advises international clients regarding all aspects of acquisition and sale as well as financing and refinancing of Swiss real estate.

Born in 1973, Elisabeth Moskric was educated at Zurich University (lic. iur. 1999, Dr. iur. 2003). She published a doctoral thesis on the subject of the lombard loan. She has working experience as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. D. Zobl at Zurich University and as a law clerk at the District Court of Hinwil/ZH as well as a secondee in the legal department of a major Swiss private bank.

Elisabeth Moskric speaks German, English and French. She is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.

Walder Wyss advises HSH Nordbank AG on a securitisation transaction of trade receivables originated in Germany, Sweden and Switzerland

Alongside with Clifford Chance Frankfurt (lead) and Advokatfirman Vinge, Walder Wyss has advised HSH Nordbank AG on the SME securitisation of trade receivables acquired in Germany, Sweden and Switzerland by ABS Global Factoring AG from local originators via Smart Fact S.A., a securitisation company in Luxembourg.

In the context of this transaction, German and Swiss trade receivables were transferred via a German factoring company to Smart Fact S.A. Swedish trade receivables were transferred via a Swedish factoring company to Smart Fact S.A. Following similar purchases, this transaction was another successful expansion of the securitisation refinancing platform for ABS Global Factoring AG through Smart Fact S.A.

Walder Wyss advised on all Swiss legal and Swiss tax aspects of the transaction. The Walder Wyss team was led by Johannes A. Acquisition of the Uetlihof Office Complex from Credit Suisse AG for CHF 1 billion

Walder Wyss assisted the buyer in relation to the acquisition of this landmark real estate property in Zurich from Credit Suisse AG in a sale-lease-back transaction through the buyer’s Luxembourg platform. Credit Suisse AG will lease the property for 25 years and has the option to extend the lease by as many as 15 years. Uetlihof, located about 3 kilometres southwest of Zurich’s city centre, is Credit Suisse’s main office building worldwide. Credit Suisse AG will have operational responsibility for Uetlihof during the fixed lease period. The office complex has more than 8,000 workspaces, as well as a precious metal vault and data centre. It consists of 173,807 square metres of lettable space. This acquisition is one of the largest single real estate asset acquisitions ever made in Switzerland.

Walder Wyss advised the buyer on all aspects of the transaction including overall legal and tax structuring, legal due diligence, documentation and VAT.

First Swiss Auto Lease Securitisation Transaction

Walder Wyss assisted Lloyds TSB Bank plc ("Lloyds") on an ABCP conduit-funded receivables purchase facility backed by a Swiss auto lease portfolio originated by the Swiss subsidiary of an international autofinance company. This landmark transaction is the first auto lease securitisation transaction ever done in Switzerland. The transaction closed on December 12, 2011 and involved the transfer of auto lease assets to a newly established Swiss special purpose vehicle.

Walder Wyss advised Lloyds on the overall structuring and all Swiss legal, tax and VAT aspects of the transaction. The Walder Wyss team included Johannes A. Riverside Exits Swiss EMC Testing Firm

The Riverside Company exited its investment in EM Test Group (EM Test), selling the Swiss manufacturer and supplier of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing equipment to AMETEK, Inc. for CHF 83 million. Riverside Company was advised on this transaction by Walder Wyss. The team led by Maurus Winzap (Partner, Tax) included Florian Gunz Niedermann (Managing Associate, M&A), Simon Kehl (Associate, M&A), Noëmi Schenk (Associate, Tax) and Elisabeth Moskric (Counsel, Finance).


Sale of Wankdorf Center

In the course of the sale of the Wankdorf Shopping Center to two UBS real estate funds and a pension fund relating to UBS AG, Walder Wyss advised the seller of the Wankdorf Shopping Center. The transaction represents the largest investment of the UBS real estate funds involved. Walder Wyss' team consisted of partner Francis Nordmann and senior associate Elisabeth Moskric.
