Born in 1980, Gian Brändli studied law at Univeristy of Freiburg i.Ue. (lic. iur. 2006, Dr. iur. 2010). He worked as a research assistant at University of Freiburg i.Ue. He further was Trainee at the federal administrative court and a law firm in Berne.

Gian Brändli's professional languages are German and English. He also speaks French. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
