Gion Giger is counsel in the Antitrust and Competition Team. His preferred areas of practice include competition law, distribution law, contract and commercial law. In particular, he advises on legal issues at the interface of sector-specific regulation and competition law. Gion Giger represents undertakings before competition authorities and courts, and assists them in complex merger filings.

Born in 1975, Gion Giger was educated at the University of Berne (lic. iur. 1999), the University of Zurich (Dr. iur. 2003) and the King’s College London (LL.M. in Competition Law 2009). He has working experience as a research assistant at the Universities of Berne and Zurich, as a trainee with Walder Wyss and as a law clerk at the District Court of Horgen.

Gion Giger speaks German, English, French, Italian and Romansh. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
