Born in 1974, Lucas Hänni was educated at the Universities of Zurich (lic. iur. 2003) and Alicante (Spain). He has working experience as legal counsel with a leading international investment and asset management company, as trainee with Walder Wyss and in a major Swiss bank. He further worked as clerk at the district court of Zurich.

Lucas Hänni's professional languages are German and English. He also speaks Spanish and French. Lucas Hänni is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.

IRC acquires majority in Transa

On 1 September 2015 International Retail Corporation SA, Givisiez (IRC) acquired a majority stake in Transa Backpacking AG, Zurich, a leading Swiss supplier of Outdoor Equipment, from the founders and other shareholders. Globetrotter Holding AG remains second largest shareholder in Transa. IRC is owned by Beat Zaugg, co-shareholder of Scott Corporation SA, Givisiez.

Walder Wyss has advised IRC in the transaction. netrics hosting AG, Biel, acquires from Garaio AG, Bern the majority in Lyss-based in4U AG. With this acquisition two leading Swiss ICT provider join their forces with complementary competencies in the sectors IT Outsourcing and Cloud Computing. Garaio AG remains a substantial shareholder in in4U AG.

Courion acquires Bay31

Courion, the market leading provider of intelligent identity governance and administration (IGA) solutions, has acquired Swiss based Bay31 AG, an innovative provider of advanced access governance solutions.

HBM acquires stake in APR

HBM BioCapital II LP, Jersey, managed by HBM Partners AG, Zug, one of the leading Swiss Private Equity investors and global leaders in healthcare-focused investments, has acquired a minority stake in APR Applied Pharma Research SA, Balerna. APR is a Swiss independent developer of science driven, patent protected healthcare products. The company identifies, develops and licenses value added products designed to address patient or consumer needs in selected therapeutical areas on a global basis.

Lucas Hänni (Counsel, Corporate/M&A) and Samuel Lieberherr (Associate, Corporate/M&A) of Walder Wyss have acted as legal advisor to HBM in the transaction.


ING sells Designer Outlet Landquart

ING Real Estate has sold the Designer Outlet Landquart to a special purpose vehicle (SPV) established by a London based investment fund. Following this transaction, the former owner of the real estate, the Swiss company ING Real Estate Development Alpenrhein AG, Zurich, will be dissolved and liquidated.

Walder Wyss advised ING in the transaction.
