Patrick Pithon is a trainee lawyer in the Litigation, Private Clients and Corporate & Commercial departments of Walder Wyss in Geneva.

Patrick Pithon studied at the University of Lausanne where he obtained a Bachelor of Law (2016) and a Master of Law (2018, summa cum laude). Alongside his studies, Patrick Pithon worked as a research assistant to Prof. Edgar Philippin in the Centre for Business Law of the University of Lausanne (M&A, Takeover Bid and Corporate). During his Master, Patrick Pithon represented the University of Lausanne in the 25th Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition held in Vienna, where his team won several awards and for which he received the Reinhard & Raja Klarmann Award. Finally, he was also the Head of Legal Counselors of the Law Student's Association of Lausanne where he led a large number of pro bono cases.

In parallel to his studies, Patrick Pithon acted as a law clerk of the Criminal and Civil Chambers of the District Court and the Labour Court of Yverdon-les-Bains. He then joined a Swiss law firm based in Lausanne specialising in Sports and Business Law. Prior to joining Walder Wyss, Patrick Pithon worked as a junior associate of a boutique law firm in Lausanne specialising in dispute resolution, new technologies and business laws. He subsequently joined the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) as a Trainee Lawyer in the International Cooperation team of the Enforcement Division where he handled incoming requests of foreign financial market supervisory authorities mostly relating to insider trading, market manipulation and breaching reporting requirements. Alongside his practice, Patrick Pithon sits on the Legal Board of the Swiss Esports Federation.

Patrick Pithon works in both French and English. He also has a very good passive knowledge of German and some notions of Polish.
