Unpaid health insurance premiums: The Federal Council wants to protect children

Mai 2021 – The Federal Council is of the opinion that children should not be held liable for their parents' unpaid health insurance premiums, and it also wants to abolish the lists of defaulting premium payers. At its meeting on 28 April 2021, it commented on the report of the Committee for Social Security and Health of the Council of States concerning the enforcement of the insured person's obligation to pay premiums. Parliament will have to decide on this.
