Coronavirus: Federal Council simplifies access to Covid certificate for recovered persons
5. November 2021 – At its meeting on 3 November 2021, the Federal Council decided to introduce a Swiss Covid certificate. This will allow to extend the period of validity of the Covid certificate for recovered persons in Switzerland to 12 months. In addition, persons with a current positive antibody test (serological test) can also receive a Swiss certificate. Such a certificate will be valid for 90 days and only in Switzerland. The Federal Council has further decided that the booster vaccination will be free of charge and that the test costs for first-time vaccinated persons will be covered by the Confederation for six weeks after the initial vaccination, even after end of November.
