25. Februar 2022 – At its meeting on 23 February 2022 the Federal Council approved the report on the protection of patient data in special forms of health insurance. The measures taken several years ago have shown their effect. The competences of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) are considered sufficient for the exercise of supervision over insurers. No additional measures are required.
