4. November 2022 – Waste of medicines is a multifactorial problem and efforts against it need to address different fronts. In summary, the answer is to prescribe, dispense and administer the right medicine in the right quantity. This is according to the report "Stop wasting medicines!" adopted by the Federal Council at its meeting on 2 November 2022. The Federal Council is of the opinion that the various measures taken by the Confederation, the cantons and private actors for a more efficient use of medicines must be continued.
