Karin Jordan is a senior associate at Walder Wyss. Her practice focuses mainly on inheritance law, employment law and family law, both nationally and internationally. She has also trained in collaborative law and mediation and is recognised as such by both the Swiss Bar Association (SAV/FSA) and the Swiss Mediation Federation (SDM/FSM). Karin Jordan also teaches family law at UniDistance Switzerland.

She studied law at the University of Fribourg from 2009 to 2013 before moving to Geneva in 2014 to complete her legal traineeship. Admitted to the Bar in 2016, she then worked as an associate in several Geneva law firms, mainly in civil and criminal law.
In 2019, Karin Jordan wrote a doctoral thesis in family law entitled « Critical analysis of selected family law reforms from the point of view of equality and the prohibition of discrimination : parental authority and child maintenance », which she defended in 2024. During this period, she worked at the Ecole d'Avocature (ECAV) as a research and teaching assistant in civil procedure with Professor Nicolas Jeandin (2019-2021) and in criminal procedure with Professor Yvan Jeanneret (2021-2024). From 2017 to 2022, she also worked as an auxiliary law clerk at the Geneva Labour Court, while continuing her training, obtaining a CAS + in mediation from the University of Fribourg (2021) and a CAS in magistrature from the University of Neuchâtel (2022). Before joining Walder Wyss, she worked for a few months as a law clerk at the Civil Court of First Instance in Geneva.

Karin Jordan is a member of the Geneva Bar Association (ODAGE), the Swiss Bar Association (SAV/FSA), the Swiss Mediation Federation (SDM/FSM), the Groupement Pro Médiation (GPM) and the Romand Collaborative Law Association (ARDC).
She practises mainly in French, but also has knowledge of English, German and Italian. She is a member of the Geneva Bar and qualified to practise throughout Switzerland.
