Philip Kern is an associate at Walder Wyss and is specialized in litigation in civil and criminal matters. He provides advice to parties in domestic and international commercial disputes and represents them in trial and appellate court proceedings as well as in enforcement proceedings. Further, Philip advises and represents accused and injured parties in white-collar crime and fraud cases.
Philip further advises and represents clients in national and international sports law matters, namely in contractual issues and in disciplinary proceedings (i.e. anti-doping matters). He is a member of the Association Suisse de Droit du Sport (ASDS) as well as the International Sports Lawyers Association (ISLA).
Philip was educated at the University of Zurich (2011, lic.iur., summa cum laude). In 2018 Philip earned an LL.M. degree from UC Los Angeles School of Law and was awarded two Masin Family Academic Excellence Gold Awards for his academic success in Entertainment Law and in Evidence. He was admitted to the bar in 2015.
Before joining Walder Wyss in 2016, Philip worked as a law clerk at the district court of Zurich where he was specialized in domestic and international enforcement proceedings.
Philip's professional languages are German and English. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and is admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
