Before joining Walder Wyss she worked as an associate with another law firm in Geneva, where she had previously performed her attorney traineeship and where she mainly advised and represented clients in civil and criminal disputes. Before that, Simona Müller trained with the Risk Management Department of a Private Bank in Geneva.

Unigestion acquires Akina to create a USD 6 billion AUM market leader in global small and mid-market Private Equity

Akina and Unigestion have announced their decision to merge their private equity businesses to create a leading expert in global small and mid-market private equity, with USD 6 billion in assets under management and 54 dedicated professionals located in Geneva, Zurich, London, New York and Singapore. Completion of the transaction is subject to the customary regulatory approvals.

Walder Wyss is advising Akina in this transaction. Credit Suisse successfully launched its new subsidiary Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd.

Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. was incorporated with the purpose to be organized as a Swiss bank. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Credit Suisse AG. The transfer of assets and liabilities according to Swiss merger law became effective on 20 November 2016. The transfer was aimed to evolve the legal entity structure of the Credit Suisse Group to meet regulatory requirements for systematically important banks.

Walder Wyss advised Credit Suisse's business units Commodity Trade Finance (CTF) and Private Banking (PB) in the transfer of certain Swiss and foreign law security agreements guaranteeing loans granted by the bank. Walder Wyss coordinated and streamlined the advice of 30 international law firms in various jurisdictions all over the world in connection with such transfer and the requirements for the re-registration of these security agreements in those jurisdictions.

Migros acquires majority interest in Sushi Mania

Bischofszell Nahrungsmittel AG, a company of the Migros Group, has acquired a majority interest in Sushi Mania SA, a company incorporated in the canton of Fribourg. Sushi Mania specialises in Japanese cuisine and Asian gastronomy.

Walder Wyss acted as legal advisor to the Migros Group.
