Stephan Neidhardt is a partner in the Tax Group. He co-chairs the Private Clients team with a focus on offering domestic and international tax law advice for entrepreneurs, their related companies, executives and high net worth individuals. Mr. Neidhardt also assists clients with corporate tax law issues, including mergers and acquisitions and structuring of domestic and international groups. In the field of Private Clients, he specializes in individual taxation issues related to the clients’ business operations, while also offering estate tax planning expertise.

Mr. Neidhardt is a member of the Tax Chapter Board of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, the Legal and Tax Group of the Latin-American Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland and the working group on Competitive Tax Policy in the Canton of Zurich.

Born in 1959, Mr. Neidhardt attended the University St. Gallen, graduating in 1986 (lic. iur. HSG). He obtained a Master of Laws in Tax at the University of San Diego (USA) (LL.M. Tax 1996). Since 1994, he has held the designation of certified tax expert. Prior to joining Walder Wyss, Mr. Neidhardt worked as a tax lawyer for law firms located in Zurich and Atlanta (USA) and was previously a tax partner and head of the tax law department at another Zurich law firm. In the beginning of 2012 Stephan Neidhardt worked temporarily in two law firms in Santiago de Chile and Bogotá, Colombia. Since 2011 Stephan Neidhardt has served as an associate judge with the Swiss Equestrian Federation.

Mr. Neidhardt is fluent in German, English and Spanish. He is a member of the Zurich bar and admitted to practice in all Swiss courts.

VINCI Energies acquires Ruf Informatik from the Ruf Group

VINCI Energies acquires through its Swiss group company Axians IT&T AG the division ICT Public (Ruf Informatik AG and W&W Informatik AG) from the Ruf Group. Ruf Informatik and W&W Informatik will be present under the trademark Axians Ruf. The divisions ICT Transportation and ICT Enterprises are not part of the transaction and remain within the Ruf Group.

Waterland Private Equity has acquired the SENIOcare Group, a leading operator of elderly care and nursing homes in Switzerland.

Walder Wyss advised the sellers (Euro Choice II funds, the partners of Rhino Partners AG as well as the members of the board and the management of SENIOcare) in the auction sales process.  The team was led by Urs P. Gnos (Partner, M&A) and included Stephan Neidhardt (Partner, Tax), Daniel Staffelbach (Partner, Healthcare), Thomas Müller-Tschumi (Partner, Real Estate), Lukas Wyss (Managing Associate; Finance), Gian A.
