14 February 2019 – Medical expenses relating to bilateral brest prexy (correction of breast ptosis) and excess skin resection at the thigh area are not necessarily covered by the mandatory health insurance. The Federal Supreme Court stated that aesthetic deficiencies resulting from illness or accident are not considered as illness. In the present case, the damage to health did not make it necessary to perform aesthetic surgeries at the expense of the mandatory insurance.
