Revision of the vaccination plan for infants and children up to two years of age

28 March 2019 – The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and the Federal Commission for Vaccination Issues (EKIF) have revised the vaccination recommendations for infants and young children up to two years of age as part of the 2019 vaccination plan. Vaccination recommendations have been adapted for protection against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, infections with haemophilus influenza type B, hepatitis B, pneumococcus, mumps and rubella. For several of these diseases, the FOPH newly recommends the “2+1 vaccination scheme”, in which the third dose for basic immunisation is omitted. For further information see:
