Promotions at Walder Wyss
Fabienne Limacher is a partner in the tax team. She advises companies and private clients in national and international tax matters. Fabienne Limacher has extensive experience in corporate taxation, in particular in the area of national and international reorganizations, real estate transactions, cross-border relocations as well as M&A and private equity transactions. She is also an expert in tax issues relating to financial and insurance products, structured financing as well as CRS and FATCA. A further focus of her practice is advising managers, companies and start-ups on tax and social security issues regarding incentive plans and transfers.
Monique Sturny advises companies on all aspects of competition law matters, assists them in merger control proceedings and represents them in proceedings before competition authorities and courts. She has extensive experience with respect to setting up of distribution systems and negotiating complex cooperation agreements. She handles matters across a wide range of sectors, with particular in-depth knowledge in the healthcare sector and with respect to legal issues relating to data and the digital economy.
Stefano Fornara represents parties in international arbitrations under the major institutional rules and in ad-hoc proceedings, and often acts as arbitrator in domestic and international arbitrations. He also regularly represents clients before Swiss state courts in commercial as well as in employment law litigation procedures. He acts for medium-sized and larger companies and their executive management, advising them on all legal matters related to their daily operations, in particular contractual matters and employment law.
In addition, Christine Glättli, Gion Giger and Benjamin Suter have been promoted to Counsel and Marion Bähler, Chloé Terrapon Chassot, Pascale Köster, Sophie Püschel-Arnold, Jonas Knechtli, Hugh Reeves and Alex Domeniconi have been promoted to Managing Associates. All promotions are effective as of 1st of January, 2021.
Christine Glättli is counsel in the Corporate/M&A and Private Clients Team of Walder Wyss. Her main areas of practice include contract, corporate and commercial law, property law as well as marriage and inheritance law.
Gion Giger is counsel in the Antitrust and Competition Team. His preferred areas of practice include competition law, distribution law, contract and commercial law. In particular, he advises on legal issues at the interface of sector-specific regulation and competition law. Gion Giger represents undertakings before competition authorities and courts and assists them in complex merger filings. He is lecturer at the University of Zurich.
Benjamin Suter advises and represents clients in disputes in pre-litigation phases as well as before state courts, arbitral tribunals and public authorities. His practice as a litigator encompasses all areas of business law.
Marion Bähler is a managing associate in the Corporate/M&A Team of Walder Wyss. Her areas of practice include banking, stock exchange and capital market law, mergers & acquisitions as well as contract, corporate and commercial law. Another focus of her work is dedicated to the life sciences and health sector.
Chloé Terrapon Chassot is a managing associate in the Litigation and Arbitration Team, where she represents clients in domestic and international proceedings. She specializes in complex cross-border disputes relating to contract, commercial and insolvency law, as well as white-collar crimes. She has been involved as counsel or tribunal secretary in numerous arbitration proceedings seated in Europe and Asia (ad hoc or institution-administered under ICSID, ICC, SIAC, HKIAC and Swiss Rules) notably in the fields of construction and energy, as well as investment treaty law.
Pascale Köster is specialized in litigation in civil as well as criminal matters. She provides advice to parties in domestic and international commercial disputes and represents them before state courts as well as in domestic and international arbitrations. In particular, she advises and represents accused and injured parties in white-collar crime and fraud cases and assists clients in relation to internal investigations.
Sophie Püschel-Arnold is a managing associate in the Litigation and Arbitration Team. She advises in dispute resolutions and represents parties in international arbitrations, before state courts and in enforcement and legal assistance matters. She focuses mainly on dispute resolution in all aspects of commercial law.
Jonas Knechtli is a managing associate in the Employment and Litigation Teams. He advises on contentious and non-contentious matters pertaining to all areas of business law (mainly in the area of employment law) and represents parties in court.
Hugh Reeves is a managing associate in the Information Technology, Intellectual Property and Competition Team. He advises clients in matters of technology transactions, commercial contracts, telecommunications, intellectual property and digitalization. In addition, he is active in the areas of data protection as well as e-commerce and assists clients with their entry or expansion in the Swiss market.
Alex Domeniconi mainly focuses on employment law and corporate & commercial. His other areas of practice are industry (including regulatory issues and product safety), insurance as well as media & communications. He advises in dispute resolutions and represents parties before state courts and in enforcement proceedings. Alex Domeniconi regularly publishes and lectures in his fields of expertise.
