Health insurance: stricter regulation of intermediary activities
21 May 2021 – Intermediary activities in health insurance are to be regulated more closely. At its meeting on 19 May 2021, the Federal Council adopted the dispatch on the regulation of insurance intermediary activities. The bill is intended to give the Federal Council the authority to declare certain points of the agreement on intermediary activities between insurers to be generally binding. Cold calling by telephone will thus be prohibited and the remuneration of intermediaries will be limited.
