Covid-19: Federation and cantons want to continue working closely with science
2 December 2022 – To support the cantons and the Federation with scientific expertise even after the dissolution of the Swiss National Covid-19 Science Task Force, a new scientific advisory body for the Covid-19 pandemic will be set up. The Conference of Ministers of Health, the Federal Department of Home Affairs and the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation have concluded an agreement to this effect with the Board of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH). The advisory body is chaired by Tanja Stadler, professor at ETH, and comprises 14 members from different institutions and disciplines. For now, the mandate runs until the end of June 2023.
