21 April 2023 – On 18 January 2023, the Basel-Landschaft cantonal court ruled that the Basel-Landschaft doctors’ stop is unlawful. The written reasons for the ruling are now available. The court's finding is clear – in regulating the admission procedure and the implementation of admission restrictions,

the canton has to make fundamental and important provisions. These provisions must - at least in their main features - be enacted in a law in the formal sense.
