1 September 2023 – The article provides an overview on the qualification of Smart Pills under Swiss Law. After a short introduction and the explanation of what a Smart Pill is according to the present understanding, the article gives an overview of the legal framework for the distinction criteria of therapeutic products and medical devices. This is followed by a qualification of the Smart Pill itself and the Smart Pill App.
