3 April 2025 – Swissmedic has been accepted as a member of the Management Committee (MC) of the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF). Its appointment is set to strengthen international cooperation and support efficient regulation in Switzerland. Swissmedic had been actively involved in international harmonisation work prior to its acceptance into the MC.

The IMDRF is an international platform with regulatory authorities from around the world. It aims to promote harmonisation and cooperation in regulatory matters regarding medical devices.
