7 May 2025 – The European Medicine’s Agency (EMA) and the Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA) have published a joint workplan called “Data and AI in medicines regulation to 2028”. The plan sets out how the European medicines regulatory network aims to process large volumes of data as well as new tools to animate research, innovation, and to support regulatory decision making for improved medicines that reach patients faster.
