With effect from 1 July 2026, pack sizes for veterinary medicinal products may be approved without the submission of mock-ups, provided that the packs are not intended to be placed on the market immediately. In such cases, the mock-ups may be submitted for approval at a later date, but at the latest before the product is first placed on the market. Swissmedic has revised the guidance document packaging texts for veterinary medicinal products accordingly, with effect from 1 July 2026.
