Enrico Friz will become the new General Counsel of Vontobel Group



The partnership of Walder Wyss is pleased and honoured to announce that Enrico Friz will become the new General Counsel of Vontobel Group as of 1st of January 2017. As a leading practitioner in the fields of banking laws, structured financial products, derivatives and corporate finance Enrico made significant contributions to the long-term development of Walder Wyss. Enrico has also twice served as Managing Partner of Walder Wyss. He has been head of the division «legal and regulations» of the Swiss Structured Product Association since 2007 and of the working group «Structured Products» of the Swiss Bankers Association since 2011. He is a member of the legal committee of eusipa.

Enrico's departure constitutes a significant loss for our firm but is also a tribute to the quality of our firm and our work. His contribution to the successful development of Walder Wyss in the last decades has been invaluable. We will miss him. At the same time, we are proud of his new position in one of the largest Swiss private banks and wish him all the best.
