Luisa Vatter is an attorney in the Regulated Markets, Competition, Technology and Intellectual Property team. She advises and represents clients in all areas of business administration law, with a focus on Life Sciences and Healthcare.

Luisa Vatter studied law at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and the Université Lumière Lyon II (First State Examination, 2020). She also graduated from the interdisciplinary doctoral program “Biomedical Ethics and Law” at the University of Zurich and authored a doctoral thesis on pharmaceutical and health insurance law (Ph.D., 2023, summa cum laude). She then completed her legal traineeship (Second State Examination, 2025). Before joining Walder Wyss, Luisa Vatter worked as a research assistant at the University of Zurich at a Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law and Medical Law. As a legal trainee, she worked at the court, the public prosecutor's office and a medium-sized commercial law firm, as well as at a large international pharmaceutical company and the European Commission in Brussels (Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety).

Luisa Vatter has been admitted to the bar in 2025. She is a member of the Freiburg Bar Association and registered, in accordance with Art. 28 FMLA, in the public list of nationals of EU or EFTA member states who are entitled to represent parties before judicial authorities in Switzerland on a permanent basis under their original professional title. She practices in German and English.
