Michael Schmassmann works as an associate in the competition team at Walder Wyss. He is active in all areas of competition and distribution law as well as commercial and contract law. He advises clients in particular on agency and franchise agreements. In addition, he has in-depth knowledge of public health and data protection law.
Michael Schmassmann studied economics (B.A. HSG, 2014), law and economics (B.A. HSG, 2015) and law at the University of St. Gallen (M.A. HSG, 2017) and completed an Exchange LL.M. at the University of Texas (2016). Before joining Walder Wyss AG, Michael Schmassmann worked as a junior associate in a large commercial law firm in Zurich and as a trainee law clerk at the Cantonal Court of Basel-Landschaft.
Michael Schmassmann's professional languages are German and English. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
