Roger Hofer is a senior associate in the Banking & Finance Team at Walder Wyss. He advises Swiss and international financial institutions and companies on all aspects of banking, finance and capital market law, particularly concerning the regulation of financial services, financial products and financial institutions.

Roger studied at the University of Zurich (MLaw, 2011) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LL.M. Banking Law and Financial Regulation, 2019). He was admitted to the bar in 2014. Before joining Walder Wyss, Roger spent many years working as a lawyer in the legal department of a major Swiss bank in Zurich. He was also employed at a medium-sized corporate law firm based in Zurich, and was a trainee lawyer at a large corporate law firm in the city before being admitted to the bar.

Roger practises law primarily in German and English. He has been admitted to the Bar Association of the Canton of Zurich and is authorised to conduct legal proceedings throughout Switzerland.
