Marie Stenger is an associate in our Real Estate and Private Clients team. Her expertise includes real estate, corporate, succession and family law. She also advises and represents Swiss and international clients in litigation matters.
Marie Stenger was educated at the Universities of Geneva (Blaw 2011) and Fribourg (MLaw 2013, summa cum laude). She also spent a semester at the Center for transnational legal studies in London (Georgetown Law). In 2020 she earned an LL.M. degree at the University of Chicago Law School.
Prior to joining Walder Wyss in August 2018 as an associate, Marie worked in a trainee position at the Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO) in the International Investment and Multinational Enterprises Unit, primarily in the field of international investment agreements. She was also assigned to the anti-corruption group by the OECD. Following this, she trained for the Fribourg Cantonal Administrative Court and for the Fribourg Parole Board. She then went to work for the University of Fribourg, where she was a research assistant for the Institute of Swiss and International Construction Law. Marie then completed her traineeship at Walder Wyss, prior to working as an associate in litigation in another Swiss law firm in Geneva. From 2015 to 2020, she worked as a teaching assistant in private law at the law faculty of Unidistance.
Marie Stenger speaks French, English and German and has good knowledge of Italian. She is registered with the Geneva bar and is permitted to practice before all Swiss courts.
