Thomas Nagel is a Senior Associate in the Banking & Finance Team. His main areas of practice include financial market regulation (in particular anti-money laundering regulation) and corporate law.

Thomas Nagel was educated at the University of Bern (BLaw 2013, MLaw 2014, Dr. iur. 2019) and at the Université de Nantes (2013). He was admitted to the bar in 2017. Prior to joining Walder Wyss in 2019, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Business Law at the University of Bern after working as intern at a court, at a Big Four audit firm and at a renowned law firm. Thomas wrote a dissertation on the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act. Since 2020, he has been teaching Financial Market Compliance & Corporate Governance at the Swiss Distance University of Applied Sciences (FFHS). During his time at Walder Wyss, he worked as a secondee in the legal department of a Swiss bank in Zurich. He therefore has broad practical experience in many legal and regulatory topics relating to the financial sector.

Thomas Nagel's professional languages are German, English and he also speaks French. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
