Federal Council wants to extend individual provisions in the Covid-19 Act

10 giugno 2022 – With the return to the normal situation on 1 April 2022, the cantons have once again taken over the main responsibility in dealing with the Covid-19 epidemic. However, the Confederation should continue to have individual instruments at its disposal for the protection of public health. The Federal Council would therefore like to extend individual provisions of the Covid-19 Act until June 2024, for example for the assumption of testing costs and the issuing of covid certificates. The feedback in the consultation was largely positive. The Federal Council referred the dispatch with the amendments to the law to parliament on 3 June 2022.
