Serving society

We recognise our responsibility – not only to our clients and employees but also to society at large. As part of our commitment to creating a positive impact, we actively engage in a range of social initiatives, supporting projects on both a regular and ad hoc basis through direct legal support, mentoring programmes, or financial contributions.

Our lawyers are dedicated to pro bono work, using their legal expertise to support vulnerable groups such as children with disabilities and unaccompanied minors, as well as charities in the sports and cultural sectors. In 2024, our Partners, Managing Associates, and Counsel contributed on average at least 23 hours to pro bono initiatives

Each holiday season, Walder Wyss expresses its support for non-profit organizations through substantial donations. In 2024, contributions were made to Force Fondation, which advances research and education in childhood cancer in the Canton de Vaud, and nafasi sawa, a foundation focused on educational projects for disadvantaged children and adolescents in Africa, especially orphans in Kenya.

Collaboration & Innovation

Collaboration with academic institutions, legal tech innovators, and industry partners drives progress at Walder Wyss. We invest in digital solutions that enhance legal accessibility, efficiency, and sustainability, and champion innovative approaches for sustainable development.

In partnership with Zürich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Walder Wyss collaborated on the development of an AI-powered legal chatbot tailored for internal use. The software was tested in 2024 and will be introduced at Walder Wyss in 2025, reflecting our commitment to innovation through academic collaboration.

Through these initiatives, we help shape a legal system that benefits both business and society.
