17 March 2013 – Würth Solar sells a large part of its solar business to BayWa

The listed company BayWa AG is taking over the following operations from Würth Solar GmbH & Co. KG: the activities of Würth Solar in the specialized dealer sector in Germany and Switzerland (SolarMarkt Switzerland), the O&M segment for solar power plants in various countries as well as installation system manufacturer Creotecc with its activities in Germany and the US. The transaction is still subject to merger clearance.

Walder Wyss has advised Würth Solar GmbH & Co. KG as Swiss legal advisor. The Walder Wyss team was led by Urs P. Gnos (partner; M&A) and comprised Ueli Sommer (partner; Employment) as well as Simon Kehl (associate; M&A).
