27 October 2020 – Since it is still not clear which vaccine will prevail, the Swiss federal government is relying on a diversified approach. Most recently, it has signed a contract with the British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and the Swedish government to supply up to 5.3 million vaccine doses, which will be delivered to Switzerland immediately after approval.
