30 March 2021 – With a membership comprising around 75 direct insurance and reinsurance providers, the Swiss Insurance Association (SIA) represents the interests of the private insurance industry on a national and international level. The SIA operates a notification and information system for Swiss property insurers (HIS) to support insurance companies in the right against insurance fraud and to protect the policyholder community. The HIS was developed and implemented with support from the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and the Secretariat of the Competition Commission (COMCO).

Walder Wyss has also advised and represented the SIA in connection with the development of the HIS and in liaising with the FDPIC and COMCO.
