Cannabis shall be controlled and legally accessible, but not promoted

2 December 2022 – The Federal Commission on Addiction and Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases (Eidgenössische Kommission für Fragen zu Sucht und Prävention nichtübertragbarer Krankheiten, EKSN) advocates legal access to regulated cannabis products for adults in Switzerland. The prohibition of cannabis does not reduce its use among the population, the black-market flourishes and the safety of users is not guaranteed. The Commission therefore welcomes the lifting of the ban and the introduction of cannabis regulation.
