24 February 2023 – The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and the Federal Commission for Immunisation Issues (Eidgenössische Kommission für Impffragen; EKIF) have issued the vaccination recommendations for spring and summer 2023. Based on the experience of the last three years and on the epidemiology of other respiratory viruses, the FOPH and the EKIF assume that the coronavirus will circulate less seasonally. From the beginning of April 2023, Covid-19 vaccination will only be recommended to certain persons with risk factors.
