Information system for notifiable diseases becomes more efficient

1 December 2023 – Monitoring communicable diseases and early detection of epidemiological trends require rapid and reliable reporting of relevant cases by healthcare stakeholders. At its meeting on 29 November 2023, the Federal Council decided on another step in digitalization within the reporting process. Starting from 1 January 2024, new identifiers such as the social insurance number (OASI) will be used to enhance data quality.
