15 December 2023 – The Therapeutic Products Act (TPA) aims to ensure that only safe and effective therapeutic products are placed on the Swiss market. The law is being revised in various aspects to enhance medication safety through an increased utilization of digital tools. Additionally, clear regulation of advanced therapy medicinal products shall ensure rapid access to innovative forms of treatment for the population. The Federal Council opened the consultation on the partial revision at its meeting on 8 December 2023.
