26 January 2024 – Last year, 200 individuals became organ donors after their death, the highest number ever recorded. Additionally, the number of individuals receiving organs also reached a peak, with 675 people receiving a potentially life-saving organ, including 110 from living donors. Despite the rise in donation numbers, the waiting list for organs remains long, with 1,391 individuals waiting for a transplantation by the end of 2023.
