"National Health Conference 2030" under the banner of digitalisation

23 February 2024 – Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider opened the "National Health Conference 2030" in Bern today. In her speech, she emphasised the importance of strong and financially sustainable basic healthcare and close cooperation between all partners involved. Her top priority is digital transformation - the theme of this year's conference. This will help to strengthen the healthcare system. Although a lot has been invested in digitalisation in Switzerland too, these investments are not sufficiently coordinated. Better networking of the various systems is therefore needed to make the most important health information more easily accessible digitally. At the conference, federal experts explained the programme to promote digital transformation (Digisanté) and discussed specific projects with representatives of the cantons, the scientific community and numerous other healthcare stakeholders.
