Historic recognition of harm reduction principle at the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs

29 March 2024 – From 14 March 2024 to 22 March 2024 Switzerland participated in the 67th session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs held in Vienna. As a member of the Commission for the 2022–2025 term, Switzerland played an active role. The session concluded by adopting a resolution focused on overdose prevention and management, marking a significant milestone as the Commission explicitly acknowledged the principle of harm reduction for the first time.
