Adjustment of the Distribution Share - FOPH Circular 733.4-15/1

19 April 2024 – In its circular 733.4-15/1 the FOPH announced the introduction of a standardised distribution share for medicinal products with identical active ingredients and the adjustment of the distribution share for prescription-only medicinal products as of 1 July 2024. The new standardised distribution share is determined on the basis of the average ex-factory prices of generics or biosimilars. Previously, the distribution share for medicinal products on the List of Pharmaceutical Specialties (Spezialitätenliste, SL) was calculated based on ex-factory prices.
