TARMED tariff intervention leads to savings

11 décembre 2019 – The Federal Council's intervention in the tariff structure for medical services TARMED has achieved its objective. The TARMED benefits, which were charged to the compulsory health care insurance in 2018, decreased by 119 million Swiss francs compared to the previous year. This is shown by the results of the monitoring of the tariff intervention. As the monitoring carried out by the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) is of limited significance, the accounting practices will be monitored continuously. The Federal Council states that, based on the latest information, it does not intend to intervene again in the TARMED tariff structure. The intervention ought to be a temporary solution until the tariff partners are able to agree on a common tariff structure. For further information, see here.
