20 mai 2021 – The Federal Council wants to strengthen the development and production of Covid-19 medicines. At its meeting on 19 May, it approved a funding programme worth 50 million Swiss francs, limited until the end of 2022, and defined the basic criteria for federal investment. The funding is intended to contribute to rapid access and supply of the Swiss population with new and innovative Covid-19 medicines. In addition, the framework conditions in Switzerland for the development and production of innovative vaccine technologies are to be improved.
