6 juillet 2022 – At its meeting on 22 June 2022, the Federal Council approved the amendment to the Ordinance on Accident Insurance. Premiums for compulsory accident insurance are generally paid in advance for the entire accounting year. However, the Ordinance on Accident Insurance (Verordnung über die Unfallversicherung, UVV) provides for the possibility of paying the premiums in half-yearly or quarterly instalments in return for a surcharge. This adjustment is now intended to bring this surcharge for the instalment payment of accident insurance premiums into line with the changed market conditions. This will provide relief for employers. The amendment will come into force on 1 January 2023.
