30 septembre 2022 – On 23 September 2022, the Federal Council took note of the report of the Control Committee (Geschäftsprüfungskommissionen des Parlaments, GPK) on the crisis organisation in the first phase of the Covid-19 pandemic. The report contains a series of recommendations on the Confederation's crisis organisation, some of which have already been implemented. Other recommendations are being incorporated into ongoing work, such as the revision of the Epidemics Act. The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) began work on the revision of the Epidemics Act in August 2021. The Federal Council will probably be able to open the consultation on the revised law in summer 2023. The dispatch is to be referred to parliament in the course of 2024. In parallel, the revision work for the national pandemic plan is also underway. The revision of the FOPH's crisis manual will be initiated in 2023.
