9 juin 2023 – In the procedure for approving health insurance premiums, the cantons should be able to comment on the premiums charged by insurers. At its meeting on 24 May 2023, the Federal Council opened the consultation procedure for the amendment of the Health Insurance Oversight Act (Krankenversicherungsaufsichtsgesetz, KVAG). The draft law also provides for an adjustment of the modalities for the compensation of excessive premium income.
