23. September 2021 – The Federal Council wants to improve the financing of health insurance premium reductions. At its meeting on 17 September 2021, it adopted the dispatch and referred it to parliament. It rejects the initiative "Maximum 10% of income for health insurance premiums (premium relief initiative)" and submits an indirect counter-proposal. Each canton's contribution to premium reductions is to correspond to a minimum percentage of health care costs.
