6. Juli 2022 – As a result of the revision of the Federal Health Insurance Act (Krankenversicherungsgesetz, KVG), the EQK was appointed by the Federal Council in April 2021. The EQK is an extra-parliamentary expert commission with 15 members from various areas of the healthcare sector. The EQK aims to ensure that quality in the healthcare system is measured in a coordinated manner, quality concepts are developed, and quality measures are implemented. Patients in particular should benefit from this.
