The Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) has published its monitoring report on cost developments in health insurance for the fourth quarter of 2025. In 2025, the average cost per person amounted to CHF 4,968, with the largest share of healthcare expenditure attributable to out-patient medical treatment. In order to address the issue of rising healthcare costs, greater cost awareness is to be promoted in the future. To this end, the FOPH will accompany the publication of cost developments with a press release going forward.
